Angon's waterfall

Easy stroll perfect on a hot summer day to the extent that the route takes place exclusively in the forest.

The site waterfalls of Angon to discover a huge canyon with a path very well equipped with barriers and chains. The canyon floor is crossed by a large cascade of 35 m, a place popular with canyoning fans.

To everyone, this hike is safe, but be careful in the last part of the path, because water splashes make it very slippery in places; then do not hesitate to use the handrails.


Access

From Annecy, Talloires join the D909 along the lake. Continue after Talloires for about 1 km and turn left Angon direction.

The trail is left up to the house at number 234. Parking is tricky, but it is possible along the road after the bridge.



 


natural reserve : bout du Lac

The nature reserve of Lake Bout is a wet area crossed by two rivers, the Water Dead and Ire, feeding the lake of Annecy. This marshy area south of the lake is an exceptional living environment. Rainforests, reedbeds, wet meadows, bogs are alkaline ecosystem diversity and offer favorable to the implementation of a large number of animal and plant species, common, rare or sensitive.

The nature reserve is one of the last non-linear urban bank. It is a safe haven for many birds. Some as tufted duck, find favorable conditions to spend the bad season. Others settled in the year and spawn in spring in the reed beds. This is the case of the crested grebe.

The terrestrial part welcomes songbirds such as warbler warbler.

Mammals side, the most notable case is the European beaver, reintroduced the Water Dead in 1972. Several families are now well settled in the reserve.

Finally, reptiles, amphibians, butterflies and dragonflies contribute to the diversity of this protected space.

Just like the flora, fauna is equally diverse. Wet meadows particular contain rare species like orchids: military orchid, marsh helleborine.

To the delight of the public, the construction of a nature trail, accessible to a visually impaired and reduced mobility, to discover that nature. This makes it an ideal walk for the whole family.


Access

From Annecy after passing the SNC store on the left, turn left at the roundabout. Then turn left into the small dirt road. Parking stones is visible, it's here.

Since Talloires, Doussard management, enter the village of Verthier. On the right a small dirt road is visible about 500 meters after the entrance sign to the village.




La baie de Talloires

Talloires is located on the eastern side of Lake Annecy, at 447 meters above sea level, 13 km from Annecy, at the foot of the Dents de Lanfon (1824 m) and the Tournette (2351 m) peak of the massif surrounding the lake.

Talloires is a former French commune in the department of Haute-Savoie in the Rhone-Alpes region. The town is a member of the community of communes of the Tournette.

On 1 January 2016, the town merges with that of Montmin to form the new town of Talloires-Montmin.

The common situation is unique and charming, it is bounded on one side by the lake and on the other by mountains.
